These kits allow you to build an amp of outstanding quality and performance
from a stock donor amp. They replace the preamp and driver
stages with one of a Torres design,
keeping the original power and output sections. Designs are listed out
here as modifications, but are also available in build-from-scratch form.
See our Custom Amp Tables for details.
Kits contain fully bound instruction book, all components necessary to
complete the circuit board, plus a footswitch.

SUPER
TEXAN KIT - PART# ST6TK
The Super Texan amp is our most popular Blues amp. Originally built
for Stevie Ray Vaughan, hence the name
Super Texan. A clean channel with the ultimate warm, full
clear Classic Fender clean sound. Channel switching goes to a second
channel and a warm fat Fender on 15 overdrive without
rasp or Heavy Metal harshness. Lots of sustain while still maintaining
killer punch and definition. It has all the Bass and Midrange missing
from pedals and other amps. A ton of useable tone in the graduation
between clean and dirty. By no means a one trick wonder.

TEXAS
BOOGIE TONE KIT - PART# TB6TK
A complete rebuild for the Blues/Rock guitarist. Again, a clean channel
with the ultimate warm, full clear Classic Fender clean sound. Channel
switching goes to a second channel and a high gain, super-sustain
overdrive tone with the Hot Rod character of Boogie type amps and
none of the disadvantages. Virtually endless sustain, crunch and big
tone. Like the Super Texan but with an extra stage of gain!

DM2000
- DUAL MARSHALL KIT - PART# DM6TK
The DM-2000, nicknamed the Dual Marshall is the dream Rock guitar
amplifier! Two complete channels, each with two distinct personalities.
The clean channel has the elusive and perfect early Plexi-Marshall
fat crunch tone, plus a Torres design Mode Switch to change to the
crisp clarity of the classic Vox AC30. Two clean tones to choose from.
Channel switching goes to a second channel with a giant, almost scary,
monstrous high gain Marshall overdrive. Tons of sustain, crunch and
aggressive big tone - think Hendrix. The Overdrive Channel also has
a Mode Switch to switch it to the modern Mesa Boogie-like Dual Rectifier
Tone. Brighter, with more presence.

| BAR-B-Q BASSMAN - Complete rebuild for the Blues Deluxe/Deville and Hot-Rod amps to produce a 'boutique standard' vintage classic: Basically replaces existing PCB and all related components including pots and tube sockets.

Bar-B-Q-Bassman59 kit
- is a complete rebuild of the Fender Blues Deluxe/Deville and Hot-Rod series of amplifiers. The result is a single channel classic in both tone and construction.
In effect, the existing amp is used as a donor. The cabinet, speakers, chassis, transformers, reverb tank and valves, all good components, are retained but the printed circuit boards are replaced by top quality point-to-point wired circuits driving chassis-mounted valves and all-valve reverb.
The result is a ‘boutique standard’ valve amplifier of vintage quality based upon the classic Fender 59 Bassman. The essential circuit is standard but we have added all tube reverb on footswitch and high gain input with its own drive control. The added features in no way dilute the vintage tone but are there to take advantage of the control features available on the donor amp.
Fitting the Bar-B-Q-Bassman is of moderate complexity, perhaps not suited to the beginner but, with the help of these instructions, well within the compass of those with some experience or with an electronic background.
