The preamp stages of a guitar amp take the tiny signal created by your pickups and amplify it several times into something that can be moulded by tone circuits, passed through reverb tanks and fed into the power stage. This is where the main tonal colouration takes place.

Pre-amp Stage price includes:

Instruction Book, circuit boards, components to be assembled on circuit board, channel switching circuit components (where applicable), pre-amp & driver tubes, bases & retainers, power supply smoothing circuit (ie. filter capacitors & resistors), all pots & knobs, miscellaneous hardware, jack sockets etc.; reverb tank, transformer, bag & cables (where applicable)
