Tiny Tone
Dear Team at Torres
Thank you very much for the Tiny Tone Tweed 1W practice amp. I am pretty much a beginner guitarist and was debating the merits of spending £250 on a hand made valve amplifier which seemed very good value. I had listened to a few other low wattage valve amps in local guitar shops costing £300 or more and decided that the sound they made (not helped by my poor playing) did not warrant the expenditure. However I decided to take the plunge on your small valve amp without having the opportunity to listen to it first
I got back from holiday a week ago and so have only just started using the amp. It is lovely and I am very pleased with it. The clean fender type tones are beautiful clear and ringing. When I turn down the guitars volume control and increase the amplifiers volume I am starting to get a light, crisp, sparkling break up when I strike a cord. It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I can’t help but smile.
I get a great sound from low and through to loud levels (I have not been brave enough to go beyond 12 o’clock as it is plenty loud enough for me so far at this amount). The speakers must be very sensitive.
The appearance of the amp is also great. Lovely tweed and beautifully made. The front panel appears old school yet has a contemporary more modern feel as well. Simple, clear and uncluttered.
I have a feeling that amps like this can help improve your playing and progression. It is starting to make me realise the differences my playing and how I pick, fret and strum the strings make more of a difference to the sound. It is certainly flattering. I am finding I am listening more carefully to what I am playing and how I am playing in more of a dynamic way. That probably sounds a bit overblown and analytical but the bottom line is it sounds great and the amp is a really enjoyable part of the playing experience.
You have made a great amp at an incredible price. Thanks you very much

Received this morning Tiny Tone amp. What can I say, Fantastic! A rocking Marshall and it doesn't drown out the telly. Have spent a fortune on amps and effects pedals over the past thirty years trying to get that tone at low volume.
